Fire crews were dispatched to smoke coming from a structure. First engine arrived and forced entry into the home; discovering a small fire in the back bedroom of a single-story, single-family dwelling. The fire was quickly extinguished and during a search of the structure a mid-aged female was located in the closet of the bedroom unconscious. The female suffered severe burns to her body and was transported to the hospital in serious condition. During your initial interview with fire crews, neighbors identified the female as the only occupant for the home. They advised she has recently lost her job and just finalized a divorce. No other information is available at this time.
